Dear Footballgolf Family, dear players of the World Champion in Dortmund,

now as the registration period is closed we know the actual number of players and can finally tell you some details about the tournament schedule next week.

If there won’t be any more cancellations, we will have 303 players in the tournament:
51 female players (with 3 only playing singles) and 252 male players (with 3 only playing doubles).
Among the participants there are 11 Juniors and 78 Seniors.

Important:  please assure that you are always at least a few minutes prior to your starting time present at your hole number one (fun or premium)

Be aware that we cannot wait for any players arriving too late!

 

The tournament schedule will be as follows:

Tuesday: special price for practicing = 20 EUR/day
Wednesday: official practising day (free of charge)

Thursday:
2 rounds of Singles from 8 a.m. on Fun (Men Group A, 150 players) and on Premium (Women, 51 players + Men Group B, 99 players)

Friday:
2 rounds of Doubles on Fun and Premium starting from 8 a.m.
After the doubles we will hold a Nations Cup (mode and details to follow)

Saturday: 2 rounds of singles on Fun and Premium from 8:00 a.m., followed by the Players Party starting at 8 p.m. (20:00)

CUT-Line will be as follows:
Women Double: 12 best teams
Men Double: 36 best teams
Women Singles: 20 best players
Men Singles: 80 best players
(unlike to last year’s WC similar scores at the cut line will always allow to stay in the tournament)

Sunday:
on Premium 3rd and final round in Men and Women Doubles from 7:30 a.m.
on Premium 5th and final round in Singles for Men and Women (after the doubles)

on Fun Men and Women extra-tournament for all who missed the Cut (from 8 a.m.)

Note:
As WFGA want’s to treat every tournament player equally, we will not reserve certain starting times for top players as this was the case in former tournaments.

Instead we yesterday held a random draw for the first rounds in singles and doubles to guarantee equal chances for every participant.

17.05.26: Update to Facebook-Post

 

 

During yesterday's Live-Drawing of the first round in the Men's Singles unfortunately we made a mistake.

 

So we announced that the first drawn men would directly start after the last Women Flight on Premium.

 

This was our plan, and of course we stick to this - so the first drawn men flight will start from 09:44 on Premium as stated.

 

The mistake was that we simply put too much men on the Premium (by mixing up the numbers of Group A and B given us by gscore organizer Christian Havelt) and this of course is entirely our fault.

 

As a consequence the "break" of the drawing order  between the last fllight on Premium and the first flight on Fun will have to set much earlier in the drawing list.
