Essential information for the Austria Open 2026

Hello footballgolf family,

• On Friday, two rounds of the individual competition will be played, starting at 8:00 AM.
• On Saturday, the first round of the doubles will begin at 8:00 AM, followed by the third round of the individual competition.
• On Sunday, the second round of the doubles will take place first, followed by the final round of the individual competition. The awards ceremony will be held after the competition concludes.

There will be a cut only in the men’s category, applied after the third round (i.e., before round four). The field will be reduced to 60 players, with all players tied for 60th place after the third round advancing to the final round.

Rules

• Play will be conducted in accordance with WFGA rules, with two local rules in effect:
• Hole 2
  • The ball must be played through the hollow tree. If the ball comes to rest in the middle of the tree (after the marker), it is considered played through and may be placed to the right or left of the tree!
• Hole 9: WATER OBSTACLE
  • If the ball lands in the water and within the red boundary, there is a one-stroke penalty and the ball must be played again.
• The referees for this tournament are Spiro Rakita, Milan Mašín, and Reinhard Pick.

Draws

• The first two individual rounds and the first round of doubles will be drawn no later than Thursday morning.
• The third round of the individual competition will be drawn on Friday evening.
• The second round of doubles and the fourth round of the individual competition will be drawn on Saturday evening
