Help Shape the Future Governance of the World Footballgolf Association
The current WFGA Board has made it one of its highest priorities to further professionalise the World Footballgolf Association and prepare it for the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead.
As Footballgolf continues to grow internationally, the WFGA must also evolve. During the past months, the Board has already established important foundations for the future, including the WFGA Logo Usage Guidelines and a comprehensive Sponsorship Concept. The next and most important step is the revision of the WFGA Statutes.
The objective is not merely to update the existing document, but to create a modern constitutional framework that reflects the current needs of an international sports federation. Among other things, the revised statutes should establish a legal entity capable of entering into agreements with international partners and sponsors, while also reviewing and clarifying the internal governance structure, responsibilities, and decision-making processes of the WFGA.
Temporary WFGA Statutes Committee
To support this important project, the WFGA Board is looking for qualified volunteers to serve on a temporary Statutes Committee.
The Committee will be responsible for:
- Reviewing the current WFGA Statutes together with the comments and proposals submitted by the National Associations.
- Consolidating these comments into a coherent and legally consistent draft.
- Working closely with the WFGA Board throughout the revision process.
- Returning revised drafts to the National Associations for further consultation until broad consensus has been achieved.
- Preparing a final version that can be presented to the WFGA General Assembly for approval.
Who Should Apply?
We are particularly looking for individuals with experience or expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Law or legal drafting
- Governance of international sports federations or non-profit organisations
- Association management
- Corporate governance
- Strategic organisational development
- Excellent written English and experience in drafting official documents
We aim to form a committee that, to the fullest extent possible, reflects diversity across countries, genders, and competition categories. Previous involvement in sports governance or international organisations will be considered an advantage.
Timeline
- Application deadline: 16 August 2026
- Appointment of the Committee: 1 September 2026
- Committee work: September 2026 until completion of the revised statutes
The Committee will work remotely, with meetings taking place online as required.
Interested?
If you would like to contribute your expertise and help shape the future legal and organisational framework of the World Footballgolf Association, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please send your expression of interest, including a short summary of your relevant experience, to the WFGA Board by 16 August 2026.
Together, we can build a stronger, more professional and future-oriented World Footballgolf Association.
