Home News Obituary: Bent Sandfeld

News detail

Bent Sandfeld has very sadly lost his battle against cancer at the age of 37.

It is a major loss for the Footballgolf family. Bent AKA “The Sandman” won numerous titles in his beloved sport Footballgolf, and he truly was a champion and friend to all of us.

Whether he was on the course or not, Bent was a true role model and inspiration to many players. His visions and ideas were some of the main reasons, that Footballgolf grew bigger and stronger especially in Denmark. His admirable determination and perseverance made him a winner, and because of these qualities he had great success with Footballgolf and at life itself.

Bent established a great course in Filskov, on which we all enjoyed playing. He hosted the WC in 2017 in cooperation with Varde Footballgolf. The Tavern in Filskov was blessed with his leadership, and it is now a very popular and respected establishment.

In his personal life he was a proud father of two sons, Hjalte and Noah, and husband to the love of his life, Louise. Our thoughts are with his family in this time of sorrow.

Losing Bent so early in life is devastating and heart-breaking, and we will never forget him.

It has been a massive privilege to experience such a great and admirable ambassador of our sport.

In loving memory of the legend, the Champion - Our dear friend BENT SANDFELD
