The new World Champion of the men are 18-year old Jan Sunesen from Denmark. He defeated the grand old footballgolf man, Hans-Peter Baudy, and his son Björn Baudy.
In the women-league 19 year old Linnea Höök from Sweden became the new World Champion. She defeated Elin Djursvik and Emillia Karlsson also from Sweden.

Emelie Andersson from Sweden handled the pressure and won the ladies tournament after a final-round 75 on Sunday. She ended on a total of 146 kicks, 8 over par, one kick better than Emelie Höök (SE). Emelie Höök played a new course record for women with 68 kicks. In third place came Sigrun Walther from Germany.

Björn Baudy scored a closing round of 57 for a 16 under par and a total of 122, finishing six kicks clear of team-mate Thomas Walther to become the new champion of the world.

The first round of the World Championship in Footballagolf has ended and in the ladies event; Emelie Andersson from Sweden has taken a 8 kicks lead before Sara Naess and Emelie Höök.
In the mens event Erik Lundin from Sweden has a one kick lead in front of Christian Nyström, also from Sweden. A group of germans are just behind the two Swedes and will probably do their best tomorrow to catch the leader. Lundin will be a hunted target for sure.
